A stimulus enough?
While announcing the second stimulus package, Montek Singh Ahluwalia, deputy chairman, Planning Commission, observed: "India is not insulated from the upheavals in the global economy." Needless to say, when western economies go into recession, export-dependent sectors will feel the heat and pass it on to the domestic economy.
