MUMBAI: Dabur India today announced the acquisition of 72.15% stake in Fem Care Pharma in an all-cash deal for Rs 203.7 crore.
According to a release issued by Dabur to the BSE today, the deal values Fem Care at Rs 800 per share, an equity valuation of Rs 282.4 crore and enterprise valuation of Rs 300 crore.
Dabur will make an open offer for an additional 20% stake. Fem Care shares closed at Rs 656 on the BSE after hitting a 52-week high of Rs 666 today.
Sunil Duggal, chief executive officer, Dabur said: "The acquisition brings to Dabur a portfolio of well-known household brands. Fem's brands fit in well with Dabur's future growth plans - both for India and the international markets."
Fem Care markets a range of bleach, liquid soaps and hair-removing creams under the brand name FEM and fabric softeners and stain removers under the brand name Bambi. The company has manufacturing facilities in Nashik (Maharashtra) and Baddi (Himachal Pradesh).
