| We're living in the golden age of the gadgets. Don't believe it? Check your pockets. Odds are you're carrying a portable music player, an electronic organizer, a keychain-size storage device, a digital camera, or a cell phone that combines some or all of these functions. And you'd probably be hard-pressed to live without them. Gadgets are small technology devices or appliances that have a particular function, but are often thought of as a novelty. Gadgets are invariably considered to be more unusually or cleverly designed than normal technology at the time of their invention. The devices falling in gadgets category are laptops, desktops, digital cameras, cell phones, camcorders, music players etc. iPhone from Apple was amongst the most anticipated gadgets of 2008.
Gadgets are sometimes also referred to as gizmos. |
